Jonathan O’Dea, Member for Davidson, has condemned the NSW Labor Government for voting down legislation to help ensure struggling homeowners receive market price for their homes if a bank or financier sells them up.

Jonathan O’Dea, the Member for Davidson, says a recent media story highlighting the dangers of Residential Cost Plus Building Contracts (RCPBC) has created Ministerial interest that he hopes will assist a devastated Lindfield family that cannot even secure their home. 

Jonathan O’Dea the Member for Davidson said while he supported the Dividing Fences and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2008 when speaking in NSW Parliament’s Legislative Assembly last week, one aspect warranted clarification. 

Jonathan O’Dea the Member for Davidson today called on local residents to let Planning Minister Frank Sartor hear loud and clear that his proposed ‘compulsory acquisition’ powers are completely unacceptable to our local community.
