Member for Davidson, Jonathan O'Dea was mixing it with royalty this week.

The MP attended the presentation of playing shirts to the Sydney Kings Basketball team by Premier, Barry O'Farrell and Minister for Sport and Recreation, Graham Annesley.

"The playing shirts are for the 2011-12 season ahead of the team's first home game," Mr O'Dea said.

"One of the players, Jarrad Weeks, is from Pymble in the Davidson electorate and I was pleased to catch up with him at the presentation.

"I am sure all of the electorate joins me in wishing him the best for the coming season," Mr O'Dea said.

"Knowing there is a player from the local electorate helps build an interest and following in the team's success.

"It was a privilege to meet Jarrad and the other players as they begin their 2011-12 season," Mr O'Dea said.

The presentation of the playing shirts was held in the Speakers Garden at Parliament House on Thursday.
