Member for Davidson, Jonathan O'Dea confirmed today that local schools are among the beneficiaries of the NSW Government’s rollout of new Interactive Whiteboards.
NSW Premier Barry O’Farrell has announced a total of 4,300 of the digital whiteboards will be installed in 1,000 schools across the state.
In Davidson 13 Interactive Whiteboards will be installed in 7 schools as follows:
- Pymble Public School (1)
- Belrose Public School (1)
- Kambora Public School (1)
- Frenchs Forest Public School (2)
- Lindfield East Public School (2)
- Roseville Public School (3)
- St Ives North Public School (3)
“Children in NSW schools should have access to the best technology to aid their learning - that is why we are installing Interactive Whiteboards in classrooms in Davidson,” Premier O’Farrell said.
“We will prioritise this rollout to schools identified on the basis of student learning needs, where the use of Interactive Whiteboards has the capacity to significantly help education outcomes,” he said.
Mr O'Dea said the announcement marks a great start to the new school term for students and teachers in Davidson and across NSW.
“This major investment in Davidson schools helps provide our students and teachers with the best facilities possible to create a great learning environment while capitalising on the digital revolution” Mr O'Dea concluded.
