Member for Davidson, Jonathan O'Dea, has thanked constituents in his electorate for their overwhelming support on election day.

With counting not yet finalised, the Liberal MP looks set to win around 75% of the primary vote and possibly the highest, two-party preferred margin in the state.

It will be the Davidson MP's second term in Parliament but his first in Government.

"After 16 years of Labor, it is fantastic to be part of a fresh, new Liberals & Nationals Government," Mr O'Dea said.

"We have the enthusiasm and talent to make a real difference in NSW.

"As part of the Government, I will continue fighting for the interests of Davidson, particularly with regard to inappropriate development, transport and health, which will include the promised start on the new Northern Beaches Hospital at Frenchs Forest," he said.

"I will continue to work hard locally, taking part in community events and forums to ensure I maintain my strong connection with the local electorate.

"The future will be challenging but also exciting as the NSW Liberals & Nationals begin the huge task of making NSW Number 1 again," Mr O'Dea concluded.
