Prompted by thousands of constituent contacts over the past few years, Member for Davidson, Jonathan O’Dea, has launched an interactive website on local planning issues.

“The new initiative provides another convenient avenue for constituent feedback using modern technology,” Mr O’Dea said.

“The new website is accessible through a link on my home page, www.jonathanodea.com.au which invites browsers to ‘Have Their Say’ on Local Planning Issues.

“There are eight topics, including on the environment, trains, quality of dwellings, ageing infrastructure and heritage precincts.

“Visitors can view related photos, read associated articles and select from a range of four responses to items within each topic.

“Above all, the new interactive website allows visitors to easily ‘Have Their Say’ on the various subjects,” Mr O’Dea said.

“It allows constituents to provide valuable feedback on how they feel about various issues, while at the same time providing me with valuable feedback on community attitudes.

“With a few clicks of a mouse people can now make their feelings known about planning issues – or type more personal feedback,” Mr O’Dea said.

“Plans are already underway to expand the concept through another dedicated website on “NSW Government Waste and Mismanagement”.

“The nature of this internet initiative appears to be a political first in Australia and provides constituents with a new level of feedback on local NSW planning issues,” Mr O’Dea concluded.
