Member for Davidson, Jonathan O’Dea is to hold another of his popular Morning Tea Forums for seniors, this time at St. Ives.

“The meeting will allow me to update residents on a number of local issues, while also providing them with an opportunity to ask questions,” Mr O’Dea said.

“One of the most contentious issues is the State Government’s high-handed approach to local planning and overdevelopment, especially in St. Ives.

“I have already held meetings with former Planning Minister and now Premier, Kristina Keneally on the issue and organised for her to tour the worst affected areas, including St. Ives,” Mr O’Dea said.

“I have also written letters, asked questions in parliament and kept up the pressure in the media through many press statements.

“I know increasing pressure on ageing infrastructure is also a concern in the area,” he said.

The forum will provide an excellent opportunity for a two way-chat with Davidson constituents who want to raise issues of concern, without going through the formality of writing or making a phone call.

“Of course, I am also happy to receive letters and phone calls from anyone in the electorate on state-based issues,” Mr O’Dea said.

The Morning Tea Forum will be held at the St Ives Bowling and Recreation Club from 10.30 on Monday, 15 February and bookings are essential.

Those wishing to attend should contact the Davidson Electorate office by phone on 9880 7400 or by emailing davidson@parliament.nsw.gov.au

“I am looking forward to meeting as many local seniors as possible at the Forum to hear their concerns and address their enquiries,” Mr O’Dea concluded.
