NSW Coalition Waste Watch Chair, Jonathan O’Dea is offering a $1,000 reward from his own pocket, as an incentive for anyone to reveal new examples of NSW Government waste and mismanagement.

“People tell me they are sick of NSW Labor’s waste binge over more than 14 years.  We have seen many examples of bureaucratic waste, service delivery mismanagement and bungled projects,” said Mr O’Dea.

Jonathan O’Dea, who is also the Liberal Member for Davidson, stated “We all have a stake in the better use of taxpayer funds to achieve improved outcomes for long-suffering NSW residents.

“I am offering a $1,000 reward for new examples of waste or mismanagement to help save the public purse millions of dollars.

“I am appealing for assistance from the public to help me make the NSW Labor Government more accountable and stop its culture of waste.

“While private sector organisations strive to do more with less, the NSW Government outrageously does less with more,” Mr O’Dea said.

The $1,000 will be paid for the best example of waste or mismanagement, based on criteria of originality, impact and potential taxpayer savings.

“All examples of waste and mismanagement submitted to me by 15 March 2010, preferably via www.jonathanodea.com.au, will be eligible for the $1,000 reward,” Mr O’Dea concluded.
