Member for Davidson, Jonathan O’Dea has hailed a morning tea forum at Belrose, for seniors in his electorate, a great success.

“The meeting allowed me to update residents on a number of local issues, while also providing them with an opportunity to ask questions,” Mr O’Dea said.

“More than 90 minutes was dedicated to addressing a wide range of issues including bus services, power failures, water supply and hospital facilities.

“The Liberal/National Coalition has already made a commitment to commence construction of the new Frenchs Forest hospital in its first term of government.

“A new bus timetable from Forest Coach Lines is due to be released in March, which will hopefully address many current shortfalls,” Mr O’Dea said.

“I have already written letters and/or asked questions in Parliament regarding bus services, power failures and water supply. I will now take up other issues raised by the residents.

“Over 70 people responded to my invitation for a cuppa and a chat, and I’ll definitely be holding more of the casual forums in the future,” Mr O’Dea said.

“It’s an excellent opportunity for a two way-chat with Davidson constituents who want to raise issues of concern, without going through the formality of writing or making a phone call.

“Of course, I’m also happy to receive letters and phone calls from anyone in the electorate who believes I may be able to assist them with a state-based issue,” Mr O’Dea said.

“Plans are already underway for another morning tea forum at St Ives in February,” Mr O’Dea concluded.
