Community groups in Davidson will benefit from $200,000 in funding under the latest round of the Community Building Partnerships Program.
Member for Davidson, Jonathan O'Dea said the funding will be a welcome boost to 13 local organisations undertaking capital works to improve community facilities.
"The successful organisations and the community at large will benefit from the improved infrastructure, while local trades and businesses stand to benefit from a financial injection," Mr O'Dea said.
St Ives has fared particularly well. The largest grant of $27,000 will go to the Cerebral Palsy Alliance for the internal refurbishment of its St Ives Community Access Service Centre, while the Hornsby – Ku-ring-gai Community College will receive $26,500 to upgrade its St Ives campus.
$25,150 will go to the Rotary Club of Roseville Chase to help establish a children’s playground, while $20,000 has been allocated to the Roseville Lawn Tennis Club to facilitate disability access and for new tennis court surfaces.
Other grants in the Davidson electorate include:
$18,400 to KU The Chase Preschool for synthetic grass replacement
$16,940 to Killara Bowling Club towards refurbishment for the club’s upcoming centenary
$15,000 to Ku-ring-gai Council for children’s facilities at The Mall Reserve, St Ives Chase.

"There was strong competition for the $200,000 on offer to Davidson Community Groups with applications totalling more than $750,000 – almost four times the available funding," Mr O'Dea said.
"The allocations help fulfil the election commitment by the O’Farrell Government to assist rebuilding infrastructure across NSW. I look forward to seeing the benefits of the program as the various projects are completed and utilised by our community," Mr O'Dea said.
