The Honourable Lloyd Lange, a resident of Pymble, passed away a week ago at the age of 76.
Lloyd Lange joined the Legislative Council of the New South Wales Parliament in 1974 as a Liberal Party representative and retired in 1986.
Previously a Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council, from 1984 to 1986, Lloyd was Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party and Opposition spokesman for minerals and energy.
Upon retiring from politics, Lloyd served in many senior governance-type roles in the private sector and as a partner of an executive search firm.
Member for Davidson, Jonathan O’Dea said, “Lloyd made substantial contributions during his parliamentary career in the area of public finances and with the Public Accounts Committee. I appreciated his generous advice when I was appointed chair of that committee in 2011.
“I extend my sympathies to Pamela, Lloyd’s wife of 50 years, his children and wider family, and thank them for sharing him with the New South Wales public,” he said.
Lloyd Lange’s funeral was held at the Killara Uniting Church today.
