Motorists and residents are advised work will be carried out to upgrade 14 light poles on the northern deck of Roseville Bridge.
Member for Davidson, Jonathan O’Dea said, “The $380,000 project is fully funded by the NSW Government and will improve visibility for motorists at night.
“The Roseville Bridge is a major traffic thoroughfare and carries Warringah Road across Middle Harbour,” Mr O’Dea said.
Roads and Maritime Services will carry out work for eight nights, weather permitting, between 9.30pm and 5am from:
- Sunday 15 September to Thursday 19 September; and
- Sunday 22 September to Thursday 26 September.
Work will include drilling the concrete bridge deck, using a small crane to remove and replace the light poles and removing debris.
Electronic message signs will be put in place to alert motorists and traffic controllers will be in place to advise of changed traffic conditions.
Every effort will be made to minimise noise and disruption to motorists.
“Motorists are reminded to obey all signs including reduced speed limits,” Mr O’Dea said.
