Member for Davidson, Jonathan O’Dea is inviting the community to view the issues report detailing community feedback on the proposal by Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) to widen Boundary Street at Roseville and make other improvements to ease congestion and improve road safety.
“We thank the Roseville community for taking the time to understand the proposal and provide detailed feedback during consultation from November 2012 to February 2013,” Mr O’Dea said.
“A very high level of community interest was registered with more than 178 submissions received by RMS on the proposal.
“The $20 million Boundary Street widening project is part of the NSW Government’s $125 million Pinch Point Program which aims to reduce delays and manage congestion on Sydney’s main roads during peak periods, to improve road safety.
“Community members are invited to view the issues report and original concept design at www.rms.nsw.gov.au/roadprojects or a hard copy can be ordered from RMS Project Manager John Kalantzis on (02) 8849 2610 or John.Kalantzis@rms.nsw.gov.au.
“RMS is preparing responses to the issues raised. These responses will be made available in a separate report on the RMS website before the end of May.
“RMS will also be amending the detailed design as a result of community comment.
“RMS thanks all residents and interested parties for their feedback to the project and will communicate with the community when an updated design is ready toward the end of the year,” Mr O’Dea said.
