Member for Davidson, Jonathan O'Dea today announced Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) is inviting community feedback on a proposed right turn lane extension from Mona Vale Road at St Ives.
“RMS developed the proposal in response to requests from Ku-ring-gai Council and local residents to improve traffic efficiency, reduce travel times and improve road safety at the intersection of Mona Vale Road and Pentecost Avenue, St Ives.
“Currently during peak times, traffic waiting to turn right into Pentecost Avenue from Mona Vale spills over into middle lanes.
“RMS proposes to extend the current 95 metre bay to a 140 metre right turn bay, build new kerbs and repaint lines at the intersection.
“Work would be carried out on weekdays from 7am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to 1pm. Night work would be carried out Sunday to Thursday, from 8pm to 5am.
“Community feedback is welcome on the project until Friday 30 November. It should be directed to RMS Project Officer Kathryn Hawkins at PO Box 973, Parramatta NSW 2124 or by email to Kathryn.Hawkins@rms.nsw.gov.au.
“For more information or for a hard copy of the relevant flyer call 8849 2021 or visit www.rms.nsw.gov.au/roadprojects,” Mr O'Dea said.
