Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) and Davidson MP, Jonathan O'Dea, are urging the local community to comment on a proposal to extend the right turn lane southbound on Mona Vale Road at the intersection with Telegraph Road in Pymble.

The proposal is the result of requests from the community and local council to improve the operation of this intersection and reduce delays for motorists on Mona Vale Road.

“The $620,000 proposal includes a 65 metre extension of the existing right hand lane and drainage system upgrades,” Jonathan O'Dea said.

Due to the traffic conditions in the area the work may require a combination of day and night work.   Residents would be advised in advance if night work is required.

The work is planned to start later in the year and would take up to eight weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Temporary lane closures would be needed outside of peak traffic periods from 9.30am to 3.00pm.

“Before the project is progressed further, we want to hear from the community about their views of the proposal,” Mr O'Dea said.

Community feedback is due by Friday 15 June to RMS project manager Divna Cvetojevic on 02 8849 2591, by email to Divna.CVETOJEVIC@rms.nsw.gov.au or in writing to PO Box 973, Parramatta NSW 2124.
