The NSW Parliament's Public Accounts Committee will hold its second public hearing on energy security issues on Friday, 11 May 2012.
"The Committee's Inquiry into the Economics of Energy Generation is about our energy needs for today and for generations to come," said Committee Chair, Mr Jonathan O'Dea MP.
"The Committee is taking evidence from key stakeholders in the energy industry, including the market regulators and electricity generators, as well as providers of alternative sources of energy such as solar and nuclear power," said Mr O'Dea.
Mr O'Dea emphasised that the Committee would also be hearing from consumer advocates. "This Inquiry aims to find ways to provide affordable energy for NSW consumers in the long term. It is important that the Committee hears from all stakeholders," he said.
