Community groups in Davidson will benefit from $300,000 in funding under the latest Community Building Partnerships Program.

Member for Davidson, Jonathan O'Dea said the funding will be a welcome boost to 11 local organisations undertaking capital works to improve community facilities.

"The successful organisations and the community at large will benefit from the improved infrastructure, while local trades and businesses stand to benefit from a financial injection," Mr O'Dea said.

The largest grant of $65,000 will go to the Pymble-Turramurra Kindergarten to construct a new corridor, classroom and outdoor activities area, while Warringah Council will receive $59,600 to improve playground facilities at Undula Reserve in Belrose.

$43,000 will go to Lifeline for new counselling rooms at Gordon, while $31,000 has been allocated towards refurbishment of the Belrose Scout Hall.

The other grants in Davidson are:

$25,000 to St Ives Pre-School for a new meeting / resource room / parent library

$23,000 to upgrade disabled access at St Martin's Parish Hall, Killara

$21,000 for improved bathroom facilities at Killara Park Pre-School

$20,000 to Gordon Community Pre-School to replace sheet vinyl flooring

$9,291 for improved fire safety / electrical upgrades at 1st East Roseville Scout Hall

$1,970 to the East Lindfield Girl Guide Hall for guttering work

$1,285 to the St Ives Barra Brui Pre-School to supply and install a shed

"There was strong competition for the $300,000 on offer to Davidson Community Groups with applications totalling more than $1million – over three times the available funding," Mr O'Dea said.

"The allocations help fulfil another election commitment by the NSW Liberals and Nationals Government to assist rebuilding infrastructure across NSW. I look forward to seeing the benefits of the program as the various projects are completed and utilised by the community," Mr O'Dea said.
