Member for Davidson, Jonathan O’Dea has welcomed announcements regarding road projects in his electorate.
Funding was allocated in this week’s NSW Budget to continue with major local road projects, including on Boundary Street near the Pacific Highway, Warringah Road and Forest Way.
“A strong NSW economy is providing the resources to potentially address the additional needs of the local community,” Mr O’Dea said.
In particular, under the Easing Sydney’s Congestion program:
- $250,000 has been allocated to complete design of the traffic improvements on Eastern Valley Way at Smith Street and Castle Cove Drive.
- $100,000 has been provided to complete investigations and commence design of traffic improvements on Boundary Street, Roseville, at Archbold Road and Penshurst Street.
Mr O’Dea said, “The Archbold Road and Penshurst Street intersections with Boundary Street have long been a focus of my attention, including Ministerial representations for upgrading works.
“Efforts to improve traffic flow on Eastern Valley Way near Castle Cove will be welcomed by local residents as well as those who regularly use the major arterial link.
“The NSW Liberals & Nationals Government has lifted NSW from the worst performing state under Labor to consistently be the best performer, including through improving transport infrastructure,” Mr O’Dea concluded.
