NSW Premier Mike Baird has conferred an additional title on local MP, Jonathan O’Dea.
The Member for Davidson already held the position of Parliamentary Secretary for Major Events and Tourism, a role allocated following the NSW Government’s re-election last year.
Mr O’Dea has now been formally given the additional title of Parliamentary Secretary for Trade and Investment.
Both Parliamentary Secretary portfolio areas are attached to the Minister for Sport and the Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events, Stuart Ayres.
The extra formal title reflects the work Mr O’Dea has already been undertaking in support of Minister Ayres, in addition to working in the area of major events and tourism.
Mr O’Dea said, “Trade and investment is vital to the economic well-being of NSW, helping to create jobs and a healthy economy.
“I will continue working hard to bring additional benefits to the NSW economy through my expanded role as a Parliamentary Secretary,” Mr O’Dea concluded.
