Member for Davidson, Jonathan O’Dea is encouraging nominations for the 2015 NSW Seniors Local Achievement Awards.

“The Seniors Local Achievement Awards aim to highlight the significant contributions older Australians make to their local community,” Mr O’Dea said.

“The NSW Government is inviting anyone who knows a senior, who deserves recognition for their role in the community, to nominate them for an award.

“Each local community now has a platform to demonstrate their recognition for the talents, skills and generosity of this impressive group.”

Mr O’Dea said, “We are calling on people to nominate seniors who make a difference to their local community. 

Minister for Ageing, John Ajaka said, “The awards provide an excellent opportunity for us to show our appreciation and to say thank you to exceptional seniors.

“I am looking forward to celebrating the important role seniors play in our local communities.” Mr Ajaka said. 

Nominations for the 2015 NSW Seniors Week Local Achievement Awards are open until Friday, 20 February.
