Member for Davidson, Jonathan O’Dea said Labor’s 10 year Infrastructure Plan once again demonstrates they’re taking the Davidson electorate for granted.
“After 16 years in Government and four years in Opposition, Labor have clearly not learnt from their past - releasing a plan that cuts infrastructure projects and raises taxes across NSW,” Mr O’Dea said.
“You would expect a 10 year infrastructure plan would actually announce new projects with additional funding – but Labor has not mentioned any new roads, hospitals, schools or employment projects.
“With the population of New South Wales set to increase, it is vital to build infrastructure now to support the increase in population.
“Labor stands for more congestion, not less, and it wants to increase new dwellings in northern Sydney by up to three times those planned!
“Labor is now axing infrastructure projects, including $348 million for the Northern Beaches Hospital (NBH) supporting road works.
“The $348 million NBH supporting road works are fully funded by the Baird Government. They will help reduce congestion so people spend more time with their family and friends, as well as supporting the creation of jobs.
“I call on the Labor candidate for Davidson to stand up for NSW and join me supporting the investment in infrastructure that NSW needs and deserves and reject the massive increase in northern Sydney dwellings that Labor leader, Luke Foley has called for.
“This election is about who is best placed to Rebuild NSW.
“I am proud to be supporting Premier Mike Baird, who has a fully funded infrastructure plan in contrast to Labor’s cuts.
“Labor simply shied away from key infrastructure when it was in Government, and is doing so again,” Mr O’Dea said.
