Member for Davidson, Jonathan O’Dea, today announced $46,825 in NSW Government funding for 8 different sporting facilities in his electorate as part of the 2015/16 Local Sport Grant Program.
Funding has been provided to construct, purchase, install or provide support for the projects listed below:
- $15,000 towards constructing a disabled toilet facility at Killara Bowling Club
- $2,000 for a primary soccer participation expo at Toolang Oval, St Ives
- $3,100 for special needs program football equipment
- $4,725 for installation of a cricket wicket cover at Barra Brui Oval, St Ives
- $6,000 for installation of a football wire screen at Warrimoo Oval, St Ives
- $5,000 for purchase of rugby jerseys and training equipment for Lindfield Rugby Club
- $6,000 for purchase of scrum machine for training at Tryon Oval, Lindfield
- $5,000 for purchase of covers for turf cricket wickets at Lindfield
“The main aim of this program is to increase regular and on-going participation opportunities in sport and active recreation in NSW,” Mr O’Dea said.
“Sport is a huge part of our way of life, which the NSW Government recognises.
“The NSW Government is committed to delivering great infrastructure and I look forward to seeing the benefits of these sports upgrades for our community,” Mr O’Dea added.
