Member for Davidson, Jonathan O’Dea, today announced $37,680 in NSW Government funding for 7 different sporting groups in his electorate as part of the 2016/17 Local Sport Grant Program.
The following funding has been provided to support various projects:
- $4,730 for East Roseville Bowling Club towards the purchase of small bowls for children, disabled & small handed players
- $5,000 for Forest Districts AFL to help increase participation in Junior AFL
- $2,950 for Killara & District Softball Club towards new softball equipment
- $1,000 for Killara Bowling Club to purchase small bowls for coaching
- $2,000 towards resurfacing six courts at Killara Lawn Tennis Club
- $5,000 for Roseville Junior Rugby Union for training equipment
- $17,000 for St Ives Junior Cricket Club towards a coach education program, an upgrade to the cricket pitch at Hassall Park and a girls in cricket promotion
“The main aim of this program is to increase opportunities for regular and healthy participation in sport and recreation activities in NSW,” Mr O’Dea said.
