Member for Davidson, Jonathan O’Dea is inviting constituents in his electorate to join in the Family Fun Day at NSW Parliament House on Friday, 2 October.
Mr O’Dea said the day provides an excellent opportunity to see Australia’s first and oldest parliament house.
“There will be guided tours of the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council Chambers and an opportunity to ask questions,” Mr O’Dea said.
“Visitors will also have an opportunity to see the Speaker’s Dining Room, President’s Dining Room and media facilities.
“Fun activities will include a mystery object guessing competition, children’s activities, roving historical characters and committee role plays.
“There will also be photo and dress-up opportunities along with art and other displays.
“A sausage sizzle will operate for a minimum charge, but otherwise the day is free,” Mr O’Dea said.
There is no need to book – simply turn up at the NSW Parliament House in Macquarie Street, between Sydney Hospital and the NSW Library.
“I encourage anyone who is interested in an informative fun day to take up the opportunity to take a tour and be entertained,” Mr O’Dea said.
“The day could be particularly appealing to those with an interest in politics and our democratic system of government.
The Family Fun Day will operate on Friday, 2 October, from 10.00am to 3.00pm.
