Roll up your sleeves for a day by volunteering for Australia’s largest graffiti clean-up operation.
That’s the message from the Member for Davidson, Jonathan O’Dea who wants vandals’ tags wiped out on Graffiti Removal Day on Sunday, October 30.
“There’s no better way of condemning graffiti and showing pride in the local community than by joining this inspiring day of community action,” Mr O’Dea said.
“Graffiti is ugly, often offensive and can make people feel unsafe.
“We need to get rid of it quickly to deny vandals any satisfaction and we can achieve this on Graffiti Removal Day.”

All volunteer graffiti-busters will be provided with training, graffiti removal equipment and protective gear on the day.
Last year, an army of more than 2,000 volunteers removed 21,000m² of graffiti from over 450 sites across NSW saving government and private property owners an estimated $1.4 million.
“Volunteers ranged from Girl Guides to octogenarians which demonstrates graffiti is a problem that impacts all of us in the community,” Mr O’Dea said.
