Member for Davidson, Jonathan O’Dea has welcomed the NSW Budget allocations for local health facilities.

“When there is need to attend hospital, Davidson residents can be assured the NSW Government is working hard to provide the best possible facilities,” Mr O’Dea said.

This year’s budget has provided additional capital funding for the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital to the north, the Royal North Shore Hospital to the south and the new Northern Beaches Hospital at Frenchs Forest.

$54.1 million has been allocated to progress site works for the new state-of-the-art hospital and for the construction of new community health centre facilities.

This is in addition to a $400 million roads package to help integrate the new hospital with the local area and reduce travel times by improving traffic flows.

A further $56.4 million has been allocated to continue works on the Stage 1 of the $120 million redevelopment of Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital.

$28.9 million has also been allocated to continue works on the $144.4 million Royal North Shore Hospital Clinical Services Building.

“When the various works are completed, Davidson residents will have excellent access to either upgraded or brand new hospital facilities,” Mr O’Dea said.

“The budget allocations provide yet further proof of the NSW Government’s commitment to boost infrastructure and services across the state, including for residents of the Davidson electorate.”

“The NSW Liberals and Nationals Government has transformed the State to become the powerhouse of the nation.

“NSW is now growing at three times the rate of Queensland and Victoria,” Mr O’Dea concluded.
