Member for Davidson, Jonathan O’Dea is encouraging community groups to apply for grants under the 2014 Community Building Partnership Program.
Applications close on Friday 18 July 2014.
“I encourage community groups to submit their applications as soon as possible to ensure they are assessed for this community infrastructure grant,” Mr O’Dea said.
“The recent NSW budget boost of $100,000 lifts the amount for the Davidson electorate to $300,000. This will allow even more community groups to apply for grants.”
The funds benefit the local community by providing positive social, recreational and environmental outcomes through repairing, maintaining or building community facilities.
“NSW has the second lowest unemployment rate in Australia, and this grant program will assist boosting local construction jobs and support businesses,” Mr O’Dea said.
“Since the program started in 2009 I have been fortunate to support projects that have built, upgraded or enhanced local infrastructure.
“The NSW Liberals & Nationals Government is rebuilding NSW by delivering the largest state infrastructure agenda in Australian history – a record $61.5 billion over the next four years,” Mr O’Dea said.
