Member for Davidson, Jonathan O’Dea welcomed the investment in important maintenance projects for local schools in the Davidson electorate.

“Every child deserves to have access to first-rate facilities and wonderful teachers. That is what we are delivering for students here in Davidson by making good use of the summer break,” Mr O’Dea said.

Education Minister Rob Stokes said this program is another example of how this Government is committed to public education and delivering local infrastructure to support communities right across NSW.

“With a $25 billion property portfolio of 2,200 schools there will always be maintenance to keep schools in top condition, but proactive management keeps the list as short as possible.”

The summer holiday blitz is part of the NSW Government’s record $747 million school maintenance investment over the next four years announced in the 2017 Budget, enabling schools across the State to slash their maintenance project lists by December 2018.
