Member for Davidson, Jonathan O’Dea has welcomed students and staff back to school for 2016.

In 2016, 367 new permanent teachers and 42 principals start in new roles at NSW public schools.

“I’d like to wish all school students and staff, starting the school year in the Davidson electorate, all the very best for 2016,” Mr O’Dea said.

“This year three new full-time teachers are starting in local schools.”

“Caroline Wong takes up her appointment at Killara High School, Van Giang joins Davidson High and Daniel Smith begins teaching at Lindfield Public School.

In addition, across NSW, many successful recipients of teaching cadetships, internships and scholarships start this year at government schools.

“I wish all teachers the very best for a great education year,” Mr O’Dea concluded.
