Member for Davidson, Jonathan O’Dea today paid tribute to the life and work of long-serving Mayor of Willoughby, Pat Reilly, who passed away overnight.

“Pat was a ‘larger-than-life’ champion of his local community,” Mr O’Dea said.

“He campaigned tirelessly on behalf of local residents.”

“He endeavoured to promote appropriate business development while also mindful of the need to protect the appeal of traditional residential areas.

“He had been a resident of Willoughby since his birth in 1952 and his passion for the area was evident for all to see,“ Mr O’Dea said.

He served on virtually every Council Committee as well as many community organisations.

Mr O’Dea said, “Pat Reilly will be greatly missed and on behalf of all in the Davidson electorate, I pass on my condolences to his family, friends and council colleagues.”
